Update:I liked it enough that I ordered a second in the green. This time I took pictures with the pattern reversed (stripes vs squares).Original Review:I needed a "middle" blanket for the hot summer days. I'm the type that has to sleep with something a little "weighty," even when it feels like it's 200 degrees and humid in my room (no AC). Time to ditch the thick down comforter and go with a "cooler" blanket.I cannot say how warm this will be when used by itself or with just a sheet. I washed and dried mine (high heat dry, too) then put it on my bed and used it for the first time last night:Combined with my quilted bedspread, I was very warm during the night. But not overly hot. I do think the blanket would be enough without the bed spread to stay comfortable through the night (in the summer). However, I'm heavy-set, middle-aged woman going through hot flashes. ? If you get cold really easy, you might not consider something like this warm enough for bedding unless you pair it with other blankets.Seems true to size 90x90 (but it could be a TAD smaller? I did not measure, only had my bedspread to compare with. It's thinner than the images give the appearance of. One side is cubed and fluffy, but the other side is less fluffy stripes. The border is double-sided with the fluffy "cubes," so when you see the edge of the blanket it looks 2x thicker than it really is.No matter what, this would make a great "couch" blanket. Super soft. Comes in great colors. I got the "mango." I wanted the darker orange, but they don't offer it in 90x90. Lame.Worth the $25 I spent if it holds up to washes... but not sure I'd spend more for this.
